More auctions throughout June, listed now!

Sorry I haven't been posting here like I meant to-- May got away from me a bit. More auctions listed up on Art for Japan--we've raised over $1300 for relief efforts and we're not through yet! Hopefully we'll be done with auctions by July.

If I forget to post up in here, I generally try to post new auctions on Mondays-- so keep checking that link!

Third Batch of Auctions up on eBay!

Hi everybody! Just a quick note as I'm recovering from a bit of a bad cold. We've got 20 more auctions listed today-- please check them out, spread the news, and bid!

Art Preview Round 2!

First up, those of you who haven't seen, I listed auctions last week-- please bid and spread the word! Couldn't get to post things on Friday, but we'll be listing a bunch of auctions on Monday, so we'll let you know when that goes live.

First Batch of Auctions up on eBay!

Just an update regarding the auction effort-- I've listed the first fifteen auctions on eBay-- you can find them here. As this actually takes way longer than I hoped (eBay's process is kind of tedious) I'll be trying to do small batches of auctions on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule until they're all up. Hopefully a new preview will be up by Monday, but I'm kind of counting on a sunny day to show up soon to photograph!

Auction updates, and a new home:

Hello! If you're reading this, it means that you've found out about Art for Japan. If you haven't, the short description is it's a really big online art auction to help relief efforts in Japan. We're in the middle of organizing and photographing the artwork but are hoping to get previews up here next week.

FYI:

Auctions will be held on eBay; I'm not certain the exact dates but we will post and update here so you know. Due to the huge outpouring of artist work, we'll be hosting a few weeks of auctions, but we'll share the work on here too so you can spread the word and get thinking about what amazing art you'd like to bid on. We'll include links to our donating artists too so you can see more of their work.

All funds raised through this campaign will be donated to AmeriCares and tagged for Japan relief. AmeriCares, a nonpartisan and nondenominational organization, uses 99% of its revenue on its charitable programs and is rated four stars on CharityNavigator.org, so we feel that it will be able to make excellent use of the money.

For a sense of what we have gotten (with some more to come)- here is all the work I've received so far (with 7lb dog for scale):

Actually the photos make it look tiny, but it takes up about sixteen square feet or more in the studio. So thank you artists!! Our work's cut out for us but we're hopeful to do our part.
